Carly MacIsaac, poet

Carly MacIsaac is a Toronto based actor/writer with an addiction to coffee and other people’s dogs. Born and raised in the prairies, she grew up on stage performing in various theatre productions before moving to Toronto to pursue a career in film. 


Her first screenplay went into production spring of 2016 and is set to release this fall as a four part web-series. “Easy V” follows an impulsive and often reckless millennial (played by MacIsaac) who struggles with the transition and pressures of adulthood. Carly also co- directed and co-produced the series.

She is currently working with illustrator Izzy Treyvaud to publish a chapbook entitled 'one thousand matches' . The collection of poetry reflects on the turbulent journey towards self-forgiveness; striking a match to the past, ultimately finding the bravery to rebuild.
