Lauren Kalinowski, writer

Lauren Kalinowski is an MFA candidate at the University of King's College in Halifax and co-editor of Edmonton Scene. Her work traces the inherited geographies of intergenerational trauma, ancestry, motherhood, and the art of living itself. Her writing appears in Alberta Outdoors, Existere Magazine, Queens Quarterly, and Edmonton Journal, among other Canadian publications. She studied under Nobel laureate Derek Walcott at the University of Alberta. Currently, she is completing a poetry collection, From Maiden to Mother: A Millennial Comes of Age, and a family memoir, The Matriarchs. A mother of four, she founded Edmonton's Downtown Writer's Workshop and contributes to Edify Edmonton, The Tomato, and Culinaire Magazine.

Soft Serve Volume 10, Issue 2
