Sarah Cheng was born in Hong Kong in the 80s and grew up in Markham, Ontario. She immigrated to Canada as a child with her mom and siblings, while her dad stayed behind in Hong Kong to make a living and provide for the family. Now in her 30s, she often looks back and reflects on the impact of this decision on her family’s collective lives. Sarah practiced as a professional accountant for a decade and started a successful online business before pursuing writing. She currently lives with her husband and two children in Markham, Ontario.
