Angela Dallago, artist

From a young age, Angela Dallago has always been fascinated with water. Swimming in a pool, watching the light reflect off the waves from the beach, and taking trips on her parents’ boat brought Angela so much joy as a child. She has dreamed of living by the ocean or sailing for months at a time but, while living in Whistler surrounded by the Coastal Mountains, Angela gets her water fix by paddle boarding on the lakes or swimming in the cool waters.

Angela graduated from Dominelli International College of Esthetics in 2004, where she discovered her love of art while working on nails—the tiniest of canvases. She enjoyed the challenge and skill of creating small works of art.

In 2015 Angela expanded her work by painting on larger mediums, both for pleasure and for a simple relief from the day’s activities.

In 2017 Angela was excited to become a full-time artist, and though this was a signification leap of faith, she hasn’t looked back since.

Artist Angela Dallago captures the dream-like atmosphere of the foggy mountains and the misty BC coastline, using oil paints to bring out the textures and colours of the landscape in her collection, Just a Short Drive.

The Essence of WaterVolume 5, Issue 3

Angela Dallago encourages us to explore The Essence of Water with her resin art, inviting us to hear the call of the waves in undulating shades of ocean blue.
