Taimi Poldmaa
Taimi Poldmaa, writer
Taimi Poldmaa, artist/instructor/writer, is inspired by the elements of nature, filling her canvases with vivid colours and bold shapes. Since 2006, her landscape paintings of Lake Superior have been exhibited in many galleries, including the McMichael Canadian Art Collection in 2010/2015. Taimi’s new work of northern wildflowers invoked the desire to write about her forays into forest trails, about identifying wildflowers and discovering their significance and ancient history. ‘Exploring The Wilds’ is an upcoming exhibition of paintings and a book of companion stories. Taimi lives and works in her woodland home on St. Joseph Island, Lake Huron. Find taimipoldmaa @ Instagram.
